Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad al-Khalaf is a consultant general psychiatrist with years of experience is located in Guildford. He also covers a portion of Hampshire and London. Dr Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw completed her MD at the University of British Columbia (UBC) before she completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She was involved in medical training during her residency. She has presented and published at international conferences on subjects such as delirium screening, social media and professionalism. She began her career as the Head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychology at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she concentrated on establishing a flourishing and highly collaborative CL service which provides psychiatric care for patients on surgical and medical wards, including the palliative and oncology units. She also received an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for managing vulnerable patients in the hospital.
She is the Provincial Practice Leader for Psychiatry at BC Cancer, Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty participant in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an interest for a long time in research and education related to musculoskeletal disorders. She currently teaches Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal Medicine to Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects related to musculoskeletal health electrodiagnostic medicine, as well as performing arts medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Sing completed her medical degree from the University of New South Wales before finishing her Psychiatry Residency at the University of British Columbia. During her training, she received the Psychotherapy Award and an Undergraduate Teaching Award to recognize her accomplishments in these areas. Dr. Nadeesha Fernando is a psychiatrist who treats adults of all ages at BC Cancer. She has a deep interest in psycho-oncology and enjoys working with older adults. She has a long-standing interest in geriatric i am psychiatry and has served as a consultant for the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and ECT service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is a teacher and mentor for medical residents and students.
Dr Theresa Lo
Dr. Theresa Lo completed medical school and a psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked for the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and the UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She has a clinical practice that incorporates psychodynamic therapy and dialectical psychology. She is fluently able speak Cantonese.
Dr Karim has been trained at Guy's King's St Thomas' and St George's hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr. Richford began her career as a nurse, and then she went on to study medicine at Dalhousie. She earned her MD in the year 1996. She has worked in a variety of Psychiatry areas such as Addiction Psychiatry as well as Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Psycho-oncology, and many more. She is a staff psychiatrist for Providence Health Care, Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer-Vancouver and an Associate Professor at UBC. She was also the past president of the British Columbia Psychiatric Association.
